# Visibility Studio desktop privacy notice

**Effective date: September 23, 2026**

This notice describes Serpwise Visibility Studio desktop version 0.1.0, including its Microsoft Store package. It explains the desktop app’s data flows separately from the [Serpwise website and hosted Cloud service](/legal/privacy/).

## About the app

Serpwise Visibility Studio is provided by Codeful ApS, Denmark, CVR 39453584. The desktop app does not require a Serpwise account. Questions about this notice can be sent to [hello@serpwise.ai](mailto:hello@serpwise.ai).

## Research stored on your computer

Workspaces, prompts, saved AI answers, brand and competitor observations, citations, audit results and app settings are stored locally. They are not automatically synchronized to Serpwise Cloud. You control the research you enter, the files you export and the backups you share.

Provider API keys entered in the current app are saved in the operating system credential store. Workspace backups exclude API keys. Older installations may offer migration of previously saved credentials. Device access, operating system permissions and any backup or synchronization software you use affect who can access local data.

## Connections you choose

When you connect an AI provider, refresh its model list, test a connection, run an evaluation or use AI analysis, the app communicates with the selected provider using your API account. Depending on the operation, this includes prompts, relevant research or content, model/settings information and the credentials needed to authenticate the request. Your provider’s privacy terms, retention practices and API charges apply. Serpwise does not make the Cloud platform’s provider-contract promises on behalf of your own API account.

Website audits retrieve pages and documents from the sites you choose. Those sites receive ordinary network request information, including your connection’s IP address. Optional browser rendering may launch a compatible browser installed on your computer. Following an external link opens that destination, which applies its own privacy practices.

## Telemetry and distribution

Version 0.1.0 does not send research or app-usage analytics to Serpwise and has no configured Serpwise announcement-feed endpoint. The Windows app uses Microsoft WebView2 to display its interface, and the Microsoft Store package bundles this runtime. Microsoft Store, Windows and Microsoft runtime services are operated by Microsoft and are subject to Microsoft’s settings and privacy terms; the absence of Serpwise telemetry does not describe every operating-system or runtime service.

Visiting Serpwise’s website or contacting support is separate from local app use and is covered by our [website and hosted-service privacy policy](/legal/privacy/). If you send support messages, screenshots or research files, those materials are shared with the support team. Do not include API keys in support requests.

## Export and deletion

Use the app’s export and workspace-backup controls to retain a copy of your research. Remove workspaces and disconnect credentials through the app as needed. Deleting local data does not delete copies already sent to an AI provider, exported files, operating system backups or material shared with support.

Windows may remove package-local data when the Store app is uninstalled. Export a backup before uninstalling or switching installation channels. Credential-store entries and separately exported files may need to be removed separately.
